This is a fellowship that brings all men together, where they have common interest in assisting each other financially when need arise and also reaches out to the needy like sponsoring boys through scholarship and training them, Organizing Rite of Passage Experience (ROPES) where boys graduate to manhood. Other Objectives To encourage and develop a living Christian Fellowship among members as disciples of Jesus Christ. To encourage members to discern through scriptures, positive Christian contribution and living in all aspects of life while bearing the fruits of the Holy Spirit to build the Christian Character. To strengthen and enrich the family by encouragement through mutual support of the family welfare and spiritual growth in order to function as God intended. To encourage men to discover their potential in full and part-time vocation. To support and be involved in Mission and Evangelism of the Church.
2018 / 2019 Events
2018/2019 PCMF Mission Week
The PCMF Mission Week run from 29th October culminating on Sunday, 4th November
2018. An introduction to this year’s week was different Districts being assigned prayer and fasting duties. During the week, PCMF evangelized in social drinking places and two souls accepted Christ. On Saturday, the PCMF held the bi-monthly family walk with hefty breakfast served in church. The highlight of the week was the climax Sunday where the guest speaker was Rev. Simon Ole Monto.
Growth in Membership and Commissioning
The PCMF commissioning service was held on 5th May 2019. The colorful ceremony was
preceded by all Men’s breakfast meeting and commissioning seminar on Saturday, 4th
May 2019, as facilitated by the national PCMF Director, Rev. Henry G. Kaira.
Next PCMF commissioning is scheduled for 3rd November to coincide with the PCMF
Trainings and Seminars
• All executive leaders attended a leader’s seminar on 7th October 2018 before being inducted into office.
• Three Officials of the PCMF attended the Leaders training on 24th February 2018 at BTL organized by the CBM.
• Ken Mwirigi and Rachel Kamau underwent capacity training at TANARI Trust to improve their knowledge with the ROPES program in January and February.
The Sukari PCMF was invited as part of the team to attend the Moderatorial Seminar at PCEA Kariobangi South on 17th November, 2018.
Secretary General of the General Assembly Visitation
The Secretary General, Rev. Peter Kariuki Kania, had a very informative session with Sukari PCEA men and other invited men on 6th April 2019. The seminar was held in the lower boardroom, with more than 40 men in attendance. The SG dwelled on the issue of retrogressive cultural practices that as Christians, we should not be part of and instead, choose to live according to God’s teachings.
The PCMF held the first goat eating/mentorship session with the Youth on 16th December
2018 at the dining area behind the GWAV hall. Over 20 Youth attended the forum,
facilitated by PCMF Chairman, Peter Wambugu
